Seasons & Conditions
The Best Time to Fly: Nepal’s diverse geography and weather offer unique flying conditions throughout the year.
- Spring (March-May): Spring brings warm temperatures and reliable thermals. These thermals allow for longer flights, often at higher altitudes. The air is generally clear, with views of blooming rhododendrons across the valleys.
- Summer (June-August): Monsoon season can be unpredictable, but the days between rain showers offer dramatic clouds and misty landscapes.
- Autumn (September-November): It is the most popular season for paragliding, with crystal-clear skies, calm winds, and incredible views of the Himalayas. Ideal for both tandem and solo flights.
- Winter (December-February): Winter offers stable weather, crisp air, and the chance to fly with snow-capped peaks in the backdrop.
Weather Conditions: At Advance Paragliding, safety is our top priority. Our pilots are trained to assess daily weather conditions and make adjustments accordingly.
- Thermals: During spring and autumn, the rising warm air currents allow us to glide longer and higher.
- Winds: Typically calm in the early mornings, with stronger thermals building up around midday.
